MODULES

PDM - BOM

developes in the following modules:

  • parts' registry and related parameters mangagement  
  • classification and search of items by features
  • BOM with an unlimited number of levels and with any number of components
  • real-time interception of “loops” and instant recalculation of “low level code”
  • technical changes management for each progress stage with co-ordinating functions
  • mass and selective copy, subtitution and addition
  • technical changes to stock exhaustion

PDM - Routing

developes in the following modules:

  • resources (workmanship places, departments, machinary) and their calendars management
  • composition of cycles, with ability to group multiple stages in one step of progress detection
  • component placement at the beginning of the operation that requires them.
  • definition of the operations made by third parties (subcontracted phases)
  • variations through revision levels with mass change functions

MCE - Product configurator

Due to its characteristics of completeness, flexibility and ease of use, it is suitable to different industrial sectors (fashion, mechanics, electronics, furniture, …). The main features:

  • definition of product levels with any number of ditinct levels of configuration
  • parameterization of the model through formulas and rules
  • trasfer of sizes on the lower level of components
  • definition of sale and purchase prices in accordance of the choices made
  • overall or single BOM configuration
  • automatic identification of configurations already made with the same choices
  • search of poducts by characteristics
  • automatic generation of the questionnaire, starting from the differences between models

PCM - Standard costs

The system manages any number of cost-versions per item (purchased or produced), which are derived from the data of the following environments:

  • technical data (item registry, BOM, routing, productive resources)
  • parts purchases and subcontracting work cost lists  
  • hourly costs of workmanship places
  • other costs directly attributable to each item

Access to information (BOMs, processes, price-lists) is made by date of validity.
The final cost of product is obtained as the sum of "items costs", where the amount of details is maintained.
WIP: materials are valued at the output of each operation.

 

PCM - Actual costs 

Calculates the cost that actually incurred for the production of products, deducting it from:

  • the actual consumption of materials valued according to the amounts invoiced 
  • the recorded labour hours
  • subcontracted work costs actully incurred

In the case of production "for commit",  the system quantifies the cost of each committ. In a production "for stock", the actual cost of each order and item is calculated (averaged over a period of time). WIP is valued in the same way.

 

COM - Sales process management

Applicative architecture able to satisfy a commercial organization on three levels: group, company and division.
The module is devided into the following subsystems:

  • customers registry and related logistics
  • sales lists managed by effective date
  • sales orders purchable via internet, also from mobile personal computers (the commercial portofolio is integrated with the master production schedule, MPS
  • agents commissions management
  • automatic shipping suggestions
  • immediate or deferred billing
  • returns management

WMS - Warehouse management

Manages the inventory data of all company's coded, WIP and finished items. The following modules are available:

  • stock accounting: three levels of balance are kept for each item: corporate, location, batch and/or commit. The balances are modified through simple shiftings.
  • physical warehouse, allows a dynamic management of the warehouse locations (shelf postioning) 
  • batch tracing, enables explosion (batches of constituent components) and implosion (merged batches) analysis. 
  • quality control through specific samples, allows the certification of incoming batches, both of production and purchase.
  • management and tax valuation, the most common methods are available.

GPS - Finite capacity planning

It's a system that, starting from MRP II methods, has innovative techniques for time positioning (forwar planning) of critical events and of all those bound by them. 
Thus, it is able to highlight both the goals timely non reached and the delay's entity, highlighting all events (materials and resources) that contribute to creating the problem.
To optimize the level of productive resources, acting on suitable parameters, the of materials can be authorized in advance, thus allowing to produce in advance.
The following modules are available:

  • MPS – allows the formation of a production plan compatible with the resources and the materials. Two detial levels are available: by product family and by item
  • MRP – materials requirements planning. Complies with international standards and offers: data processing in simulation, committ and warehouse planning, sensitivity to the homogeneity of batches, calculation of the lead time starting with the processes, changes management to stock exhaution, requirements positioning to the starting date of the process.
  • PRM - uses a reticular planning tachnique that helps to overcome the constitutional limits of MRP (lack of "leeway maneuver", lack of reaction mechanisms that in critical situations, define the contraints between the events and calcolates  the "as soon as possible" dates, for each order. Identifies the critical paths repositioning the events in "forward".
  • CRP - by using production orders already in place and those proposed by MRP, this module is able to define the load profile of resources, thus generating the capacity requirements plan.
  • FCP - this application has the goal to timely relocate production activities by taking into account the profiles availability of the involved resources. A quick reservation of the required resources is made for each order, which are then destinated by priority. Before sending operations in delay, the system attempts to divert them on alternative resources.

POM - Purchases and receptions

Provides tools to manage relationships with suppliers, issue orders and receive materails or services. It is integrated with the SOM module for the part related to outsourcing. It developes in the following subsystems:

  • suppliers registry and logistics management
  • purchases lists (materials and workmanships) by effective data management
  • PR (Purchase Request) management
  • orders (normal and opened) management
  • receptions management
  • returns management
  • invoices checkings

SOM - Production management

Manages production orders. It integrates with the POM module for those order-processes that need to be externally executed. The following features are available:

  • production order maintenance (quantity changes, component and production process modifications)
  • operational documentation issue
  • automatic generation of materials shifting lists towards production departments and contractors
  • progress statement on routing (in settlement or deposit) with automatic generation of components consumption and WIP or final product stock
  • routing time statement
  • waste statement, of greater or lesser consumption

General and Analytical Ledger  

The applications of this management area consist of ACG Vision 4 accounting modules, developed by IBM Italia, which were integrated in APACHE V4.

RMS - Management Control

Consists in managing quantities and sales revenues to any desired level of aggregation (company, region, area, agent, client, etc.) at different time levels: balance sheet, portfolio, budget, assumptions, etc..
Ditects the delta between any type of data (comparison of budgets, invoices, orders, pre-balance etc.
Simulates both organizational aspects different from the referenced one, and quantities and prices changes for each level of aggregation defined.
Checks the marginality by comparing the revenue with different types of cost taken from the management environment (standards, current, average,...) Calculates stucture costs for cost center and allows the management of acounts by periodically taking the balances from the general ledger and grouping the accounts in "expense entries". It is possible to make manual additions and accruals in extra ledger accounting mode.
 

 

Tracking and Tracing

Data is periodically extracted from operational databases, and after a process of normalization, it is loaded in a specific database, to which users can access to develop analysis. 
To ensure short response times, it can be incrementally supplied instead of regeneratively. 
This solution allows:

  • to obtain "synchronous" enterprise reports, based on the same version of data, even if processed at different times
  • to develop analysis with easy to learn and use tools
